GALLS, LLC is seeking an Area Manager to lead a distribution shift and drive operations performance. You will coordinate daily activities, optimize workflow, and partner with HR to improve organizational effectiveness.

A strong leader who can mentor staff and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency is essential. You will manage staffing, analyze productivity metrics, and develop reports to improve service and cost outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience or training in distribution/warehouse leadership.
• Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or operations setting.
• Ability to work independently and motivate diverse teams.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, across management levels.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, present information, and respond to questions.
• Strong problem definition and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Experience using spreadsheets to analyze KPIs and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and RF gun tooling at a managerial level.

Responsibilities

As an Area Manager, you will provide strategic support and leadership for a single shift of distribution operations. You will manage day-to-day operations by coordinating workers' activities with the outbound leadership team. You will build strong and effective working relationships between outbound operations and other company departments, enabling successful performance against assigned facility productivity metrics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Occasionally, will require a flexible schedule as needed to provide support and leadership to 1st and 2nd shift associates
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
• Conduct studies and standardize processes and procedures to improve worker efficiency
• Creates and maintains a high-quality work environment so that team members are motivated to perform at their highest level
• Working with supervisors and team leads, maintaining harmony among employees, and resolving employee issues
• Partners with Human Resources to improve organizational effectiveness, restructure work assignments, and address employee concerns
• Develops managerial and supervisory staff and promotes teamwork
• Confers with other distribution center managers to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management, and quality assurance
• Identifies employees' skills and develops them through regular coaching and counseling
• Conducts annual performance reviews and provides continual feedback on both positive and negative performance
• Analyzes staffing and payroll to achieve departmental goals
• Analyzes and reports on all outbound productivity metrics
• Develops and applies management reports and other statistical data to improve operational processes, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction
• Must have the ability to work various shifts to support the changing needs of the business
• Adherence to Safety Practices
• Monitor employee timecards and track departmental costs

WHAT YOU BRING

• One to three years of related experience and/or training in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven leadership experience
• Able to work independently and comfortable leading diverse teams within the warehouse
• Ability to develop and motivate teams
• Ability to provide vision and direction
• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions. Ability to present information and respond to questions from various levels of management
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions, both oral and written
• Utilize spreadsheets and PC software to analyze, develop, and report key performance indicators for the department
• Knowledge and use of WMS and Radio Frequency Guns at a managerial level
