Job summary

Black Men Teach seeks a Managing Director of Operations to run the engine of the organization in Minnesota. You will oversee Administration (Finance, IT, Operations & Strategy) and partner with People & Culture to ensure precise, disciplined execution as BMT scales impact locally.

You will drive cross-functional operations, build dashboards, and design scalable systems while maintaining strong collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced leadership and nonprofit admin understanding.
• Experience leading operations across finance, IT, and HR is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations, ensuring clarity, accountability, and cross-functional execution.
• Design and refine operational systems, workflows, and decision processes.
• Build dashboards tied to strategic goals and track progress.
• Translate CEO priorities into actionable, measurable plans.
• Drive leadership priorities and support board and external partnerships.
