Job summary

Honda Development and Manufacturing Production Engineering is seeking an OT Security Site Lead to coordinate regional OT security initiatives, manage asset visibility, remediation, and incident response at the site level.

The role collaborates with IT and business users to ensure secure operations, with responsibilities spanning tool development, vulnerability management, and recovery workflows across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, networking, electrical or computer engineering, or computer science.
• 2+ years experience with machine control networks/ICS and basic understanding of networks, cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; business acumen in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Site representative – lead interface with site members to facilitate execution of regional OT security initiatives, including leading communication meetings, providing technical support, training, and managing project activity.
• Asset management – achieve/maintain equipment asset visibility targets for the site through vulnerability and IDS systems.
• Vulnerability remediation – lead annual remediation plans for the site and support investigation and resolution of IDS alerts.
• Equipment backup/recovery – achieve/maintain equipment backup targets, provide technical support for issues, and lead incident response coordination with site members.
• Regional support – contribute as a subject matter expert in OT security tools, systems, and processes across prevention, vulnerability management, and incident response/recovery workstreams.

Job Purpose

The Honda Development and Manufacturing Production Engineering team is responsible for the operational technology security of the manufacturing environment. The OT Security Site Lead works across multiple technical and business areas to facilitate implementation of the regional OT security initiatives and provide on site support for core security functions of asset management, vulnerability remediation, and equipment backup and recovery as well as support for incident management. The role is the primary collaborator with IT/business users to ensure secure operation at the site.

Key Accountabilities

• Site representative – lead interface with site members to facilitate execution of regional OT security initiatives including leading communication mtgs, providing technical support, providing training, and managing project activity.
• Asset management – achieve/maintain equipment asset visibility targets for the site through the vulnerability and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Vulnerability remediation – lead annual remediation plans for the site and support investigation and resolution of alerts from the IDS system.
• Equipment backup/recovery – achieve/maintain equipment backup targets for the site, provide technical support for resolving issues, and lead incident response coordination with site members.
• Regional support – contribute as a subject matter expert in developing OT security tools, systems, and processes across the prevention, vulnerability mgmt., and incident response/recovery workstreams.

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of experience with machine control networks / industrial control systems (ICS); basic understanding of communication networks, cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity.
• Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams.
• Business acumen in a technical environment.

Working Conditions

• Flexible Work Hours.

• Estimate 2-4 Business trips per year may be required to support regional initiatives and improve overall efforts to improve standardization across the region. This activity may require short‑term assignments at other Honda sites for 1‑to‑2‑week periods.
• 0-5 hours of OT per week
• Weekend and holiday work may be required.
