Chromalloy is seeking an Operational Planning Leader for Engine Component Repair Services to drive planning, forecasting, and capacity management across the ECRS organization. Responsibilities

  • Translate demand, induction, and forecast into executable plans across ECRS sites.
  • Lead planning processes aligning demand, capacity, and priorities.
  • Facilitate monthly reviews, identify risks, and present decisions to leadership.
  • Develop master schedules to meet delivery commitments and objectives.
  • Convert forecasts into detailed weekly schedules balancing capacity and needs.
  • Lead capacity planning across labor, equipment, suppliers, and quality.
  • Perform scenario planning and mitigation for demand changes.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, backlog health, and on-time delivery.
  • Resolve planning issues and data integrity concerns promptly.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an Operational Planning Leader – Engine Component Repair Services (ECRS) to lead operational planning, forecasting, master scheduling, and capacity management across Chromalloy’s ECRS organization. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for translating customer demand, repair induction requirements, New Product Introduction (NPI) needs, operational priorities, and site constraints into executable plans that drive business performance and customer satisfaction.

The Operational Planning Leader serves as the primary planning partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Commercial, and site leadership teams, ensuring customer commitments are supported by accurate forecasts, capacity visibility, material readiness, and aligned operational priorities. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution.

Location: US Remote (Eastern Time Zone)

Travel: Domestic & International travel as required by business needs (50%)

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Translate sales opportunities, repair induction requirements, NPI demand, and volume forecasts into executable operational plans across ECRS sites and repair value streams.
  • Lead operational planning processes that align customer demand, site capacity, material availability, and business priorities.
  • Facilitate monthly planning reviews, identify risks and gaps, develop recovery scenarios, and elevate key decisions for leadership review.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules that support customer delivery commitments and operational objectives.
  • Convert monthly demand forecasts into detailed weekly schedules that balance customer requirements with available capacity.
  • Lead capacity planning efforts by evaluating labor, equipment, supplier, engineering, quality, and material constraints across ECRS operations.
  • Conduct scenario planning and develop mitigation strategies to address changing customer demand, operational challenges, and capacity limitations.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, backlog health, turn‑around time performance, on‑time delivery, and other key operational metrics.
  • Drive resolution of planning issues, data integrity concerns, scheduling conflicts, and operational constraints.
  • Support customer‑facing teams by providing analysis, delivery commitments, escalation support, and operational recovery plans.
  • Create visibility across commercial commitments, repair induction requirements, site capacity, engineering inputs, quality requirements, and execution plans.
  • Facilitate regular planning reviews with site leadership and functional stakeholders to align priorities, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate planning inputs for customer reviews, business reviews, pricing discussions, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop and standardize operational planning, forecasting, capacity management, and master scheduling processes across ECRS.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy, forecast quality, delivery performance, operational visibility, and organizational scalability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership and executive teams by providing data‑driven recommendations and operational insights.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operational planning, master scheduling, supply chain, operations, aerospace repair, manufacturing, or a related function.
  • Experience in a repair, manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or similarly complex technical operating environment.
  • Proven experience developing and managing demand planning, SIOP, master scheduling, capacity planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of operational planning disciplines, including forecasting, inventory management, capacity planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional alignment across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and site leadership teams.
  • Experience using planning data and analytics to support operational decisions, customer commitments, and business performance improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess risks, evaluate scenarios, and develop practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence leaders, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Aerospace engine component repair, MRO, special processes, precision manufacturing, or regulated technical services experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial aviation, power generation, military, or other highly regulated technical markets preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience in planning, master scheduling, capacity planning, operational execution, customer support, or supply chain functions preferred.
  • Experience with repair induction planning, turn‑around time management, customer risk assessments, business reviews, or escalation management preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or process improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple sites, global time zones, and matrixed teams.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
