AmeriCorps State / National is seeking participants for the Operation: Veteran Connect program in Florida. This full-time service opportunity emphasizes helping veterans connect with VA resources, housing assistance, food pantries, and community services across the Tampa area.

Participants will gain an education award upon completion, receive a living allowance, and undergo training. The program runs from August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with a strong focus on meaningful veteran outreach

Job description

Our mission is to focus on having meaningful interactions with veterans. You may have the answer to a problem or issue they may be experiencing. This program year, we will be promoting the Whole Health program provided at area VA sites, as well as providing various resources to increase the quality of veterans’ independent living. The program includes service at VA hospitals and clinics, food pantries, temporary housing facilities, community events, and more.

Member Duties :

Members will assist veterans, active duty military, and/or their families to connect with VA services and other community resources.
