Job summary

McKesson is seeking an Operations Supervisor to help keep our distribution center running smoothly. You will train and manage a team, oversee planning and labor, and drive safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include directing night shift operations, maintaining morale, and ensuring quality housekeeping and system compliance. 3+ years leadership experience preferred with HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations.
• Assess and move labor as needed throughout the day.
• Assist with maintaining morale, work standards, and developing teams.
• Assist with training and managing employee performance.
• Assist with reducing turnover and overtime hours.
• Complete end of shift systemic requirements.
• Direct all Bulk team members on assignments in order of picking priorities.
• Monitor and supervise Replenishment drivers and tasks.
• Secure the building on Friday evening, including setting the alarm system.
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment.
• Daily review of LMS productivity and coaching as needed.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday OR Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

Weekends and Wednesdays from 6:00am-4:30pm

Weekdays from 5:45am-6:15pm

Job Summary

As an Operations Supervisor on our team, you'll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem-solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives.

• Specifically, we'll need you to:
  • Assist in planning and directing operations

  • Minimize overtime hours
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping and equipment standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, organizing, and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations.
• Assess and move labor as needed throughout the day
• Assist with maintaining a positive morale, work standards, and developing teams.
• Assist with training and managing employee performance.
• Assist with reducing employee turnover / Assist with reducing overtime working hours.
• Complete end of shift systemic requirements
• Clear communication to all relevant partners when daily expectations are not met
• Direct all Bulk team members on assignments in order of picking priorities.
• Monitor and supervise Replenishment drivers and tasks.
• Secure the building on Friday evening, including setting the alarm system.
• Monthly Safety observations
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment.
• Daily review of teams LMS productivity, including posting results & coaching as needed.
• Communication with others both internally/externally via e-mail & phone
• Setting clear expectations with the team and holding them accountable.

Job Qualifications:

• 3+ years of subject matter experience, including exhibiting leadership capabilities.

Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Critical Skills:

• Experience managing, leading, and developing staff.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent and effective business communication skills both verbal and in writing
• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
• Skilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline, and record keeping.
• Focus on driving quality and process improvement.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions.
• Demonstrated employee engagement skills.
• Extremely dependable and capable of working in a temperature-controlled environment

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Warehouse management systems experience preferred; experience in RF environment is a plus; experience with labor management system is a plus, and PowerBi
• Experience leading large teams.
• Ability to effectively interpret and analyze data to drive productivity.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$57,400 - $95,600

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
