Labcorp in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Operations Scientist I to join our team on a day-shift schedule (Mon–Fri). You will conduct bioanalytical sample preparations, document study records, and coordinate with project managers and lead scientists to keep projects on track.

The role requires at least a high school diploma with 2+ years of laboratory experience and familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 2+ years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with laboratory equipment (balances, pipettes, centrifuges).
• Experience with analytical instrumentation (gas, liquids, or solids).
• BS/BA in chemistry or biology is preferred.
• GLP documentation experience is a plus.

Labcorp is seeking an Operations Scientist I to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Work Schedule - Mon - Fri (Day Shift)

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct bioanalytical sample preparations
• Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
• Communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisor on projects daily/weekly
• Order consumables for projects as needed
• Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
• Provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to project managers and lead scientists to ensure projects meet agreed upon timelines
• Set up, operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment
• Attend and participate in project meetings
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment
• Participate in client visits as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years or more of laboratory experience
• Experience using laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges
• Experience with analytical instrumentation (for gas, liquids or solids)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology
• 2 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)
• GLP Documentation experience
• Computer Experience (e.g., Word, Excel) or LIMS

• Experience working in a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology projects

Pay Range

Typically $23.-$25

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
