NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking an Operating Room Technician for per diem shifts in the NSG-Operating Room. Under RN supervision, you will plan and deliver safe, age-appropriate care and supply the surgical team with instruments, sutures, and supplies while maintaining aseptic technique.
You will participate in unit-based quality improvement, communicate with the care team, and assist in circulating and equipment handling during procedures.

In this role, the successful candidate Under the supervision of the RN, this role involves planning and delivering safe, therapeutic, and age-appropriate care. The individual works closely with a multidisciplinary health team to enhance wellness and optimize patient outcomes. They provide the surgical team with the essential instruments, sutures, special equipment, and materials required for surgery, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques. They also assist in circulating, gathering instruments, supplies, and equipment during the surgical procedure. Additionally, they participate in performance improvement activities at the unit, department, and institutional levels that impact patient and service outcomes.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
