Retired Nurses is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech or Operating Room Technician to join a dynamic surgical team in a contract position. You will support operating room turnover, assist surgeons, and help maintain a sterile, efficient environment for complex procedures.

We value flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and expect collaboration with RNs and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Competitive weekly earnings reflect 40-hour work weeks plus eligible reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Current CST certification (or equivalent)
• Experience assisting with surgical procedures in an operating room
• Knowledge of sterilization, OR protocols, and instrumentation
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, RNs, and other healthcare professionals
• Flexibility to meet call requirements including nights, weekends and holidays
• CPR/BLS certification is required

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms and instruments before surgeries
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are sterile and properly arranged
• Assist surgical teams during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate needs of surgeons and address intraoperative changes
• Uphold infection control standards and adhere to healthcare regulations
• Participate in room turnover and support broader surgical suite operations

Bring your expertise as a Certified Surgical Tech or Operating Room Technician to a dynamic surgical team providing exceptional care to surgical patients. This contract position offers the chance to expand your skills working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to safe and successful surgical outcomes alongside experienced surgeons and dedicated healthcare professionals.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week, 06:45 to 17:15
• 0-2 stay-late call shifts per week (17:15 to 19:15)
• 1-3 additional 12-hour call shifts within a six-week period (7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00), specifically on weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
• Proven experience assisting with surgical procedures in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, operating room protocols, and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, RNs, and other healthcare team members
• Flexibility to meet call requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• CPR/BLS certification required
