Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team at Blount Memorial Hospital. You will scrub for procedures, prepare the OR, and assist the surgical team under RN direction, maintaining sterility and safety throughout.

Education required is a Surgical Technology program or equivalent; no prior experience is necessary. Annual mandatory ST education is required, with compliance to state regulations and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• 15 hours annual ST continuing education; grandfathering rules may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as part of the team.
• Prepare OR by setting up sterile supplies and instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety; monitor for breaches.
• Assist with instrument and specimen handling under RN direction.
• Clean and prep rooms between cases; restock as needed.
• Mentor and train new team members; support department goals.
