Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, HI is seeking an OR support assistant to help promote efficient turnover of Operating Room suites. You will transport patients to perioperative areas and ensure supplies are stocked and ready for procedures.

The role requires high school education, some nursing-related experience, and BLS/CPR certification as preferred. This full-time position is based in the Surgery department on site, with an 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience is preferred.
• Nursing student, nurse aide or comparable experience in hospital, nursing home or clinic setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in turnover of rooms by mopping floors, cleaning OR table, linen changes and waste handling; prepares surgical case carts and processes instruments, scopes and equipment.
• Transports patients to and from Perioperative Services.
• Ensures proper supply levels and rotates inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
