Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year OR experience in an accredited hospital preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to understand operation of equipment and function independently.
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Correctly identifies patients and safely transports them to and from the operating room, holding area, or post anesthesia care area.
• Helps turnover OR suites.
• Assists in positioning, lifting and transferring patients as directed.
• Assists with case setup for assigned rooms.
• Cleans designated supply areas and adheres to Infection Control guidelines.
• Cleans designated equipment and adheres to guidelines.
• Maintains safe, clean, organized environment in the area.
