Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Langhorne, Pennsylvania seeks a Surgical Services Attendant to support the care team with patient transports, positioning, equipment and specimen transfers, and readying operating and procedural rooms for diverse surgical cases.

You will assist with daily equipment checks, coordinate with Biomed and vendors for repairs, and help train new staff in sterile techniques, room setup, and body mechanics. This role requires a High School Diploma/GED and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working understanding of aseptic technique and various surgical procedures.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, equipment, and specimens to and from designated areas.
• Positions patients according to procedural needs and assists with room turnover.
• Ensures cleanliness, stocking, and upkeep of operating/procedural rooms and supplies.
• Participates in equipment checks and coordinates repairs with Biomed and vendors.
• Assists in onboarding and training new staff in sterile techniques and room setup.
