Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland is seeking an OR Supervisor to lead the operating room team in a multi-specialty outpatient center located in Garland, TX.

The role requires an RN with a current license and at least 3 years of OR experience, plus BLS/ACLS. The supervisor will manage case flow, scheduling coordination, staff education, and physician communication in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred or work related experience.
• Three (3) years experience in operating room.
• Current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the OR staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
• Assist in coordination of daily case scheduling in the OR with other staff to ensure schedules flow smoothly.
• Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly OR staff meetings for all OR techs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
• Work with Materials Manager to order instruments and equipment for cases.
• Coordinate inventory semi-annually in all areas of the OR.
• Assist with OR education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
• Work closely with Clinical Director in hiring and orienting OR staff members.

Operating Room Supervisor at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland:

• We are currently searching for an OR Supervisor Registered Nurse to join our team. The OR Supervisor Registered Nurse is an integral part of the supervisory team at the Center. Position duties include:
• Supervise the OR staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
