Mercy is seeking an RN Operating Room Supervisor to oversee daily OR operations in the Level One Trauma Main Operating Room, providing leadership to nursing and support staff and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
The role collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams, supports regulatory compliance, and drives staff development and performance management.
Organizes and administers nursing service in the assigned specialty area by assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care. Functions in staff role as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by OR Manager. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the position. Responsible for the orientation of new coworkers and permanent team members in conjunction with the Resource Coordinator and the OR Nurse Clinician. Supports the continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure Mercy's goal of excellence in clinical outcomes and satisfaction of those we serve. Demonstrates fairness, integrity and compassion in interactions.
