Job summary

North Central Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking an Operating Room RN PRN. You will contribute your expertise as circulating or scrub nurse, ensuring safe, efficient care until transfer to recovery. This role supports patient well-being and teamwork within a busy ASC.

Responsibilities include instrument setup, case circulation, and smooth transitions between procedures, with emphasis on patient safety and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or compact licensure.
• BCLS certification upon employment.
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR, including use of preference cards and anticipating surgeons’ needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Utilize proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and tables to prevent injuries.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review charts for completeness per documentation protocols before and after procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center whodemonstratesthe values of our company by caringlikefamily. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care until your patient is transferred from your care to recovery.

What you will do in this role:

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, includingutilizationof preference cards and ability toanticipateyour surgeons needs

• Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator

• You willfacilitateeffective and efficient transition between surgical procedures

• Utilizeappropriate bodymechanics in moving your patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury

• Manage your patients care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia

• Consistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center

• Active RN license as required by state of employment orappropriate compactlicensure
