OrthoNebraska is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to oversee the safe, efficient perioperative care, sterilize equipment, prepare rooms, and assist surgeons during procedures. The role requires strong communication and the stamina to provide high-quality care under pressure.

Full-time, days shift, 1.0 FTE (40 hours) with four 10-hour shifts, Mon–Fri between 6:30am and 7:00pm. Nebraska RN license or compact state eligibility and BLS/ACLS within 90 days are required; 1+ year

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• Registered Nursing license in Nebraska or eligible compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
• 1+ years perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment to determine nursing care needs.
• Develop and revise plan of care for optimum outcomes.
• Implement interventions safely and effectively.
• Evaluate care to determine response and outcomes.
• Maintain professional behavior and assist in risk prevention.
• Comply with safety policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, Joint Commission).
• Participate in performance improvement activities and meetings.
• Attend mandatory educational programs and follow department policies.
