Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Weston, FL seeks an RN in the Operating Room to provide patient-centered care in a dynamic surgical environment. The role is ideal for a skilled nurse who excels in assessment and critical thinking while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver direct nursing care, implement and update care plans, monitor patients, administer medications, support discharge planning, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment based on the department service level RN is hired into

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
