Job summary

Baptist Health System - San Antonio TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in Harlingen, Texas. The RN will provide direct patient care in the operating room, assess and plan care per shift, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality nursing services.

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure, with BLS and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable. Preferred is a BSN or MSN and recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• AHA BLS, and ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP as applicable by policy.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Recent acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective total nursing care to all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement direct clinical care per shift for assigned patients.
• Supervise staff with delegated nursing tasks and ensure safe patient care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer medications safely per hospital policy.
