Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our high-acuity perioperative team. The role offers 36 hours per week with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, plus call requirements on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• License Registered Nurse required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in the OR and perioperative settings.
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients, and ensure quality of care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development.
