Stamford Health is hiring an OR RN for the operating room at 1 Hospital Plaza, Stamford, CT. This is a full-time position with four 10-hour shifts, typically 7am-5pm or 9am-7pm depending on department needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 2 years of OR RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and standards of practice.
• Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.
• Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role.
• Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
• Adhere to Stamford Hospital policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct and Compliance.
• Provide safe, therapeutic care and advocate for patients and families.
