Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is actively recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time position requires 40 hours weekly with a rotating shift and call responsibilities.

Primary duties include patient assessment, admissions, medications administration, and family communication, ensuring high-quality perioperative care. The Peri-op 101 program supports new grads or those changing specialties with mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or a compact state in good standing.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, Diploma, or MSN).

Responsibilities

• Assess/admit patients and conduct rounds in the OR setting.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient status.
• Communicate with patients’ families and coordinate care.
• Ensure overall care quality and adherence to perioperative standards.
