The role involves circulating cases in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic surgery setting, preparing rooms, verifying patient identity and procedure, and acting as the patient’s advocate throughout the perioperative period. You will work with orthopedic surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• OR nursing experience required
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical cases in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic surgery center
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure per safety protocols
• Serve as the patient’s advocate before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team to promote efficient case flow
• Monitor patients during intraoperative phase with safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
• Assist with inventory management and supply levels
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or surgical needs
