AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse with 1+ year of medical-surgical experience to assess patients and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The role administers medications, documents care, educates families, and protects patient safety in a fast-paced environment. State-of-the-art facilities and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English
• EMR charting is required
• RN license is required
• 1+ year medical surgical experience is required
• 1+ year surgery experience is preferred
• BLS certification required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Read/Comprehend written instructions
• Follow verbal instructions
• Keyboarding skills required
• Computer literacy required
• Nursing skills and knowledge base for department required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments per prescribed protocols
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Document patient care activities in medical records
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and discharge care
• Advocate for patient safety and identify potential risks
• Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated care
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols
• Perform IVs, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collections
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care quality
