Job summary

Summit Medical Center in Edmond, OK is seeking an experienced RN OR Circulator to join our Quality Care Team. The role provides circulating nurse services in the operating room during surgical or pain management procedures and supports the surgical team as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oklahoma.
• Operating room experience (minimum 1 year); BLS certification; ACLS required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs patient care in the operating rooms; communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about the patient's condition.
• Performs all circulating duties with efficiency and speed.
• Ensure the patient’s emotional, physical, and psychological needs are met.
• Assists in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Documents all nursing care delivered in the operating room in the medical record.
