Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence, LA, is seeking a PRN Nurse Registered in the Operating Room. The role requires a Louisiana RN license, BLS, PALS, and ACLS. You will circulate and scrub during procedures, assist surgeons, and ensure proper documentation and patient safety.

On-call availability and variable shifts are expected. The position notes compensation at $30.00/hour plus additional pay for certifications, on-call, and domicile.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient properly and verifies completeness of chart and procedure site.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plan to meet the individualized needs of the patient. Supervises and directs patient care and personnel in a single operating room.
• Provide assistance to surgeon and anesthetist as necessary. Ensures proper technique and practices are maintained.
• Reports any change in the patient's condition.
• Circulating Nurse: Identifies needed supplies and equipment to prepare room for patient and procedure. Assesses and meets the patient's individual physical, safety, and emotional needs. Assures completion of the patient's chart, OR records, and charge slips.
• Scrub Nurse: Prepares equipment and packs for use in the procedure.
