Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. You will function as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team and perform nursing processes across the continuum for age-appropriate, family-centered care.

Requirements include BSN or equivalent, GA RN license, BLS and PALS/PEARS per department. Three years of OR experience is preferred. This position emphasizes patient safety and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Job Description

Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Experience

• 3 years of experience in an operating room

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Experience in pediatrics

Education

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing

Certification Summary

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within 1 year of employment as required by department

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Immediate phone availability throughout scheduled call shifts
• Must be able to report to hospital after call activation within 60 min

Professional Mandatory Requirements

• Completes orientation and initial assessment of competency successfully by determined due date.

• Achieves 75% attendance at staff meetings or reviews minutes as applicable.
• Ensures contact information is updated and accurate.
