Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or Surgical Technologist.
• Certification (preferred): CRCST / CSPDT, CER.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for surgical procedures, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, calibration, and functional checks.
• Serve as a day-to-day clinical resource for physicians, nurses, and technologists regarding device use, workflow optimization, and best practices.
• Assist OR and Endoscopy teams with room readiness, case flow, and equipment availability to minimize delays and cancellations.
• Act as the primary liaison between OR and SPD to ensure seamless instrument and scope reprocessing workflows.
• Help coordinate instrument and endoscope inventories, tray accuracy, and case-cart readiness.
• Identify and elevate issues related to missing instruments, damaged equipment, or reprocessing bottlenecks.

This role bridges clinical practice, device support, and reprocessing workflows to ensure safe, efficient surgical services and optimal asset utilization.
The Specialist works directly with surgeons, nurses, technologists, SPD personnel, and leadership to support endoscopic and surgical equipment, coordinate instrument reprocessing workflows, improve turnaround times, reinforce regulatory compliance, and enhance overall procedural efficiency. This role is highly visible and embedded within daily operations, acting as a trusted liaison between clinical teams, sterile processing, and vendor support functions

What You'll Do

• Provide on-site support for surgical procedures, including:

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience required as an Endoscopy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or Surgical Technologist.
• Certification (preferred):
  • CRCST / CSPDT
  • CER

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequentlybending/stooping/travelingand reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs. Working in environment with fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The starting base rate for this role is $19.88 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
