Providence Swedish Issaquah is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care support in the unit. You will perform general secretarial and clerical duties, liaise with patients, families and physicians, and assist nursing staff in coordinating unit activities under RN supervision.

The role requires WA Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS, with preferred experience in acute or skilled care and experience using electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months of Acute care experience.
• 1 year of Skilled nursing experience.
• Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course.
• Acute or skilled experience will be waived for students currently enrolled and in good standing at a traditional registered nursing program approved by the Nursing Quality Care Commission. At a minimum, satisfactory completion of one academic term (quarter or semester) that included clinical patient care experience is required.
• Experience using electronic medical record.

Responsabilités

• Perform general secretarial and clerical duties in patient care areas.
• Interacts with patients, families and physicians and acts as liaison among health care team members.
• Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• May be responsible for setting alarms and observing oxygen saturation readings.
• Oversees the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies.
• Assists with orientation of new staff and performs other duties as assigned by charge nurse or nurse manager.
