Job summary

Montereysurgerycenter is seeking an Operating Room Circulator RN to join our surgical team. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes throughout the perioperative process.

The ideal candidate holds an active CA RN license, has 2+ years as an OR circulator, and exhibits strong perioperative knowledge. BLS/PALS/ACLS are required; CNOR preferred. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (CA).
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• At least 2 years as a Circulating Nurse in the OR.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS required; CNOR preferred.
• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR, ensure sterile equipment and functional readiness.
• Assess patients pre-op and properly position on the operating table.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team during procedures.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Monitor vital signs and responses to surgery.
• Administer medications as directed by the surgical team.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly.
• Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room.
