Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support life-changing surgeries. The role focuses on preparing ORs, safely transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, organized environment to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

You will help with equipment monitoring, OR turnover, and overall surgical room readiness, contributing to a trusted healthcare team in a large hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BCLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Experience in an Operating Room setting is a plus.
• Medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock operating room with supplies, equipment, and fluids for procedures.
• Transport and verify patient identity, assist with transfers as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of operating rooms between cases and at day end to maintain sterile environment.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to support safe surgical operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite and surrounding areas.
