Job summary

Healthcare Facilities Today is seeking an Operating Engineer Repairer for our Facilities Management team in New Jersey. The role operates and repairs stationary steam and hot water boilers in a low-pressure plant and supports various building maintenance tasks in a state facility.

Experience with boiler systems and a valid Operating Engineer license (Blue Seal minimum) are required. The position is on-site at East Jersey State Prison, Woodbridge, NJ, with benefits under state policies.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of general maintenance repair work and operation of stationary steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• LICENSE: Operating Engineer's license (Blue Seal minimum) issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the limited supervision of the Engineer-In-Charge of Maintenance or other supervisory officer in a state agency or institution, operates and repairs stationary steam and hot water boilers and auxiliary boiler equipment in a low-pressure power or heating plant; performs basic work involved in varied types of building maintenance and repair tasks; does related work as required.

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in general maintenance repair work and work involving the operation of stationary steam boilers and auxiliary equipment of a power plant or low-pressure heating plant.

LICENSE: Appointees must possess an appropriate Operating Engineer`s license (Blue Seal minimum) of the appropriate grade, issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor.
