Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain building systems and ensure reliable operations at our Thousand Oaks site. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders while delivering exceptional workplace experiences for our client.

You will monitor BAS/UCS/CEMS/EBO, troubleshoot alarms, perform preventive maintenance, and handle routine repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of basic preventive/predictive maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of industrial building repairs experience.
• Current state license to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to operate company vehicles including carts, trucks, and vans.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo preferred).
• Basic knowledge of BAS, UCS, CEMS, and EBO.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SharePoint and AI tools.

Operating Engineer - JLL

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Facility Operations and Maintenance
• Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS), Utility Control Systems (UCS), Critical Environmental Monitoring System (CEMS), and EcoStruxure Building Operations (EBO) for alarms and anomalies
• Troubleshoot and resolve system alarms efficiently
• Perform predictive, planned, preventative, and routine maintenance in accordance with JLL's Preventative Maintenance Program
• Execute building rounds as required and conduct site ground inspections
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to building equipment
• Perform general building repairs including doors and various other maintenance responsibilities
• Respond to and complete service requests accurately and expediently
• Conduct minor repairs on building systems to ensure continuous operation

Perform all duties in a safe manner using proper safety equipment and in accordance with established work standards and practices

Actively participate in emergency response procedures, technical training, and safety training programs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in industrial building repairs
• Current state license to operate company vehicles
• Must be able to operate company vehicles including carts, trucks, and vans
• Technical Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Utility Control Systems (UCS), Critical Environmental Monitoring System (CEMS), and EcoStruxure Building Operations (EBO)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
• Effective use of technology and tools such as SharePoint and AI

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and OneNote helpful
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Mechanical background

Location

Thousand Oaks, CA - Onsite Work

Shift: Week 1: Thursday to Sunday 5:00pm to 5:30am

Week 2: Friday to Sunday 5:00pm to 5:30am

+ Ability to work weekend nights and overtime as required.

Salary/ Comp: $25 - $35 per hour + Overtime + Shift Differential.
