The role leads production staff, manages budgets, coordinates with venues, and upholds safety and educational outcomes for Curtis students and ensembles. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential for success on campus in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical theater experience, including direct experience as Director of Production, Production Manager, or Stage Manager
• Experience with IATSE, AFM, Local 829, AGMA, and other unions
• Strong planning and organizational skills for long- and short-term production planning
• Ability to manage budgets and supervise production staff
• Commitment to student education and professional conduct in a teaching environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and future planning of Curtis Opera Theatre productions
• Manage budgets and reconcile production expenses
• Hire and supervise contracted production staff (stage management, production manager, wardrobe, etc.)
• Coordinate with venues and vendors; ensure safety and compliance with union rules
• Maintain production calendars, schedules, and records across Curtis databases
