Job summary

The role involves hands‑on coding in Python, REST APIs, and AWS tooling; you will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize ingestion pipelines and architect scalable, cost‑efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on Python development with REST APIs and testing.
• Experience building OpenSearch or Elasticsearch based systems.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Strong OO design for scalable, maintainable production software.
• Experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).

Responsibilities

• Write cloud‑based apps and tools; evaluate new technologies to improve performance.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy software to parse data for analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, PMs and engineers.
• Deploy software into an AWS data ingest pipeline.
• Store data in S3; queried by Athena or OpenSearch.
• As OpenSearch expert, lead indexing and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues and support mission areas.
• Document software and procedures; propose improvements.
• Work with engineers to advance capabilities.
