The University of Colorado Department of Anesthesiology Division ofPediatric Anesthesiology has an opening for a full-time PediatricAnesthesiologist at the faculty rank of AssistantProfessor/Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice. To support thegrowth of our faculty, selected candidates will be offered theopportunity to choose a track that corresponds to their area ofexcellence. The chief responsibility of thedepartment is to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients having surgical operations and painful invasive and diagnosticprocedures. The primary clinical site for this position is the Children'sHospital Colorado (CHCO) in Colorado Springs, CO.
The candidate must have a strong working and theoretical knowledgeof Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and experience inteaching Anesthesiology.
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located inColorado Springs, CO.

All attending anesthesiologists must be licensed to practicemedicine in the State of Colorado. All are expected to be either inthe examination process of the American Board of Anesthesiology("board eligible") or a Diplomat of the Board in bothAnesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology, or to be holdingcertification of foreign training that is recognized as equivalentto a diploma of the American Board of Anesthesiology. Maintenanceof Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) participation is requiredfor all board-certified faculty.

The Colorado Springs practice uses a clinical day equivalent(“CDE”) compensation model to determine total compensation suchthat variable pay is available for additional compensation of up to$213,000. The CDE model also follows a unique but very competitiveleave program.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position is noteligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
