Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a qualified candidate to support the Green Acres program, reviewing inventories and coordinating with municipalities and counties to protect open space and parks in New Jersey.

Under supervision, you will research online property tax records, compare documents, and help finalize lists of land held for recreation and conservation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional experience in planning, monitoring, coordinating, implementing, modifying and/or evaluating agency programs and services.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above‑mentioned professional experience.
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline appropriate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review Recreation and Open Space Inventories submitted by municipalities and counties receiving Green Acres funding.
• Research online property tax records and maps, compare documents, and finalize lists of land held for recreation and conservation.
• Assist with the Green Acres Local and Nonprofit Assistance Program as needed.
