UNICEF - United Nations Children’s Fund is seeking an Open-Source Data Collection consultant for a 3-month period in New York, with remote work options. The consultant will identify, verify and analyze grave violations against children using open-source information and established UNICEF MRM methodologies, under guidance from the Child Protection Section.

The role requires an advanced degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of OSS experience, and strong drafting and reporting skills in English.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced university degree in Human Rights, Conflict, Peace and Security Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in human rights monitoring and open-source investigations.
• Experience in grave violations documentation using OSS methodologies and verification techniques.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Identify, verify and analyze media-reported grave violations against children.
• Systematically collect, verify, document and analyze information for 2026 in selected conflict settings.
• Adhere to UNICEF MRM methodologies and reporting standards with team guidance.
