The University of Kansas invites applications for two open-rank, tenure-track or tenured professor positions starting Fall 2027 in the School of Social Welfare. We seek scholars with a strong, externally fundable research program using quantitative or data-informed methods to tackle social challenges and advance justice.

Successful candidates will contribute to teaching across B.S.W., MSW, Ph.D., and D.S.W.

Qualifications

• PhD in social work or MSW with PhD in a closely related field by August 2027.
• Evidence of externally funded research potential and productivity.
• Teaching experience in CSWE-accredited programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach across BSW, MSW, PhD, and DSW programs in-person, online, evening or weekend formats.
• Develop and sustain a quantitative, data-informed research program.
• Engage in service and professional activities at school, university, and community levels.
