Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking for a board certified or eligible Pulmonary Medicine physician to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The role involves providing patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and leading clinical and research programs.

Ideal candidates will have completed fellowship training in pulmonary diseases and critical care, and will work effectively with a range of healthcare professionals. Excellent teaching skills and expertise in managing patients with conditions like sarcoidosis, COPD, and asthma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Experience in managing patients with Interstitial Lung Diseases is preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, patient-centered care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Contribute to and lead clinical and research programs.
• Participate in the rotation schedule for inpatient pulmonary consult services.

Skills

Expertise in management of patients with sarcoidosis

Experience with COPD and asthma

Teaching skills for residents and fellows

Education

MD or DO

BC/BE in Internal Medicine
