Open Rank Dentistry Faculty- DCG- Pediatric Dentistry

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry in the Dental College of Georgia (DCG) at Augusta University invites applications for a clinical track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor who will also hold an administrative post of Director of the Predoctoral Clinical and Didactic program in pediatric dentistry. This is a non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will possess a passion for teaching, leadership and team-building skills, and experience with, and enthusiasm for, working with dental students and residents in our outpatient clinics. Major teaching responsibilities include providing didactic and clinical instruction for both predoctoral students (majority) and postdoctoral students, student counseling, and research mentoring, as well as support of evidence-based learning and clinical care. Additionally, participation in hospital on-call service and various interactions with postdoctoral and predoctoral students are expected. Other responsibilities include participation in committees at the department, school, and university levels, as well as the production of scholarship. Opportunities for extramural dental private practice are available.
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to the availability of funds.
