Northeastern University invites applications for an Open Rank Non-Tenure Track Clinical Professor and Program Director for the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the Charlotte, NC campus. Anticipated start date January 2027.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Nursing, Education, or related field by appointment start date.
• Evidence of an established area of research and scholarship, teaching excellence, and demonstrated excellence and commitment to supporting faculty, staff, and student environments.
• Licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide content needed to ensure accuracy and compliance with governance and regulatory processes including curriculum governance/catalog updates, website updates, marketing materials, college database maintenance, professional licensure disclosure, and other program consents and waivers.
• Ensure timely submission of forms relating to students’ milestones or academic needs (e.g., CPT approvals, DNP/PhD candidacy, thesis/dissertation milestones, Office of Global Services responses).
• Collaborate with Enrollment Management and Global Launch Services on strategic plans for enrollment growth or sustainability across Northeastern’s global system.
• Help recruit and yield qualified students from different backgrounds and ensure timely, accurate correspondence with prospective and enrolled students.
• Evaluate applicants for admission to graduate and second-degree programs and internal transfers to undergraduate programs.
• Monitor academic standing and progression; supervise or provide advising and guidance on professional licensure; complete faculty advisor training.
• Initiate external relationships with professional associations, clinical sites, guest lecturers, alumni, and partner institutions.
• Represent the program at department, college, and university events such as open houses and convocation.
• Oversee program assessment and accreditation processes; manage university requirements and assessment plans.
• Forecast and manage allocation of program resources and faculty workload; schedule classes; orient new faculty; evaluate part-time faculty.
