The University of Colorado is seeking a Cardiologist specializing in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. This role requires board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine and an advanced fellowship.
Located in Aurora, CO, the selected candidate will manage patients with complex heart conditions and contribute to academic medicine. The position offers competitive salaries ranging from $375K to $550K based on rank, along with various benefits.
The University of Colorado Division of Cardiology seeks a cardiologist with advanced fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. The candidate should be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM and have a meaningful interest in academic medicine. The major site of practice is the University of Colorado Hospital. The preferred candidate should have completed fellowships and be board certificated/eligible in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, with a research background focused on heart transplantation and/or advanced heart failure.
Onsite – responsible for clinical duties at Aurora, CO.

The successful candidate should have a meaningful clinical research background with the ability and intention of developing a collaborative research program focused on heart transplantation and/or heart failure. A clinical or research interest in device‑based therapies for advanced heart failure is preferred.
• Ability to independently manage patients with advanced heart failure, including those pending or following heart transplantation and those receiving mechanical circulatory support in ambulatory, inpatient, CCU, and ED settings.
• Clinical skills in echocardiography and/or diagnostic cardiac catheterizations are a plus.
• Ability to serve as a faculty member in training programs, including didactic activities for cardiology trainees, house officers, and medical students.
• Ability to contribute to research conduct within the Division of Cardiology.

Assistant Professor: $375,000 – $450,000
