Job summary

Curative is seeking a Physician Assistant for Open Heart Cardiovascular Surgery in South West Florida. The PA will work with supervising surgeons across inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and telehealth settings.

A minimum of two years APP experience and vein harvesting experience are required. The role involves preoperative and postoperative care, first assisting in surgeries, ordering and interpreting studies, and coordinating across the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years APP experience required.
• Vein harvesting experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with active licensure and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic studies (labs, imaging).
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with supervising surgeons.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, per state regulations.
• Serve as a first assistant during surgical procedures and provide perioperative care.
