Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 1+ years contributing to system architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new/existing systems.
• 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree or 5+ years with a Bachelor's in CS, including design, implementation, debugging and support.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and complexity.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented software with languages like Java, C, C++, C#

Responsibilities

• Designing and building the next-generation technologies for Athena SQL at any scale.
• Work on complex problems in distributed systems and query engines.
• Translate requirements into architecture and design.
• Deliver systems and features with high quality, on time.
• Own the software development process end-to-end from requirements to deployment and operation.
