Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX is hiring a full-time OP Peds GI Dietitian. The RD must have CDR certification; new grads are welcome and relocation benefits are available.

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering outpatient nutrition care in a pediatric GI setting. Responsibilities include medical nutrition therapy, patient education, and collaboration with the health care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RD with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
• Licensed Dietitian or eligible to obtain TX license

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nutrition Care: provide medical nutrition therapy and education in an outpatient pediatric GI setting
• Educate patients, families, staff on nutrition and lifestyle for long-term wellness
• Apply evidence-based practice in line with diet manual and facility protocols
• Support quality and performance improvement initiatives related to nutrition care
• Collaborate with food service management to achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentor and assist dietetic interns and staff as applicable

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do:

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
