Job summary

TRCC Transport, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Waste Management Technician to handle treatment of liquid and solid waste, sample collection, and related duties to ensure proper disposal of treated waste. The role requires working outdoors in all weather, operating equipment, and following safety protocols.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with occasional overtime. Pay is $19.00 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days. On-site work with full PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatability studies.
• Gather samples of waste to perform treatability studies.
• Recording daily flow in the absence of the Manager.
• Calibrate pH meters in the absence of the Manager.
• Act as an attendant and when necessary, perform confined space entry for tank truck cleaning.
• Assist waste water operator with pumping, cleaning, and maintaining wastewater equipment.
• When necessary, dump, cut up, and dispose of drums and totes.
• Assist in cleaning truck unloading lines.
• Provide equipment maintenance as needed.
• Perform pump cleaning and maintenance.
• Operate a lift truck as necessary.
• Operate backhoe as necessary for removal or movement of solid waste.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
