Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Engineer for an onsite contract in Brookshire, TX. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing test equipment hardware and software for power electronics and battery systems.

You will script in Python, query SQL databases, and collaborate with production and design teams to optimize test strategies. The ideal candidate has hands-on lab experience with test equipment, knowledge of high and low voltage up to 24 V and 480 V, and a strong documentation habit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Proven experience in software testing for hardware and software systems.
• Strong Python scripting for test automation.
• Experience with LabVIEW for test automation.
• Familiarity with high-voltage power electronics testing.
• Ability to document tests and results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance test equipment hardware and software.
• Develop and execute test scripts and automate data processing.
• Use SQL to manage, store, and analyze test data.
• Collaborate with production and design teams on test specs.
• Document all project aspects including test procedures and configurations.
• Support debug, validation, and continuous improvement of test processes.
• Apply software test engineering practices to ensure repeatable results.
