Job summary

Cvent, Inc. is hiring Onsite Technicians to lead event delivery at various locations including Tysons Corner, Draper, and remote markets. You will manage registration, check-in, badging, and session tracking while traveling to events as needed.

The role requires strong communication, tech aptitude, and the ability to learn Cvent solutions. You’ll collaborate with clients, project managers, and account teams to implement onsite technology, troubleshoot devices, and document post-event outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
  • 1+ years troubleshooting technology products preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in customer service or related role.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience with consumer electronics.
  • Basic knowledge of networking.
  • Event Tech and Cvent experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to learn new technology and provide feedback.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • MS Office, Jira/Confluence and Salesforce.com proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Own onsite event delivery as the primary onsite contact for registration, check-in, badging, session tracking, and lead capture.
  • Frequent travel to support events; approx. 80% travel.
  • Setup, test, and troubleshoot onsite hardware and software.
  • Communicate between onsite client teams, PM, and account team.
  • Identify and define product improvements per client needs.
  • Coach onsite staff on best practices for using Cvent solutions.
  • Maintain accurate event and asset records and post-event recaps.

Cvent has multiple opportunities for Onsite Technicians on the Event 360 Professional Services Team supporting customers leveraging Cvent's Onsite Solutions. Locations of these opportunities are:

  • Headquarters Office – Tysons Corner, VA
  • Distribution Office – Draper, UT
  • Remote positions preferably in event heavy markets such as Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Chicago, Austin, Dallas and other major metropolitan cities.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Own onsite event delivery for assigned events, serving as the primary onsite point of contact for Cvent's registration, check-in, badging, session tracking, and lead capture solutions.
  • Frequent Travel (including evening, weekends, and international travel as needed) to support events of varying size and complexity, from executive meetings to large conferences. Approximately 80%
  • Setup, test, and troubleshoot Cvent's onsite technology software and hardware including laptops, tablets, phones, badge printers, and networking equipment.
  • Communicate between onsite client teams, the Cvent Project Manager, and the client's Account Team for potential changes or future opportunities.
  • Identify and define product improvements and enhancements as they pertain to client needs and overall deployment
  • Coach and guide 3rd party or client's onsite staff on best practices and how to use Cvent's solutions.
  • Maintain accurate event and asset records including device assignments, configuration notes, incident logs, and post-event recaps as to what went well and what can be improved.
Here’s What You Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • 1+ years experience troubleshooting technology products preferred
  • 2+ years experience in customer service or related role
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience and comfort in using consumer electronics
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Experience with Event Tech and Cvent solutions highly preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new technology in the market mainly on different OS and provide feedback on these technologies
  • Previous experience configuring and troubleshooting software/hardware
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Strong business acumen, ethics and high integrity
  • Able to work with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Jira/Confluence and Salesforce.com or similar contact management software

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $45,000-$70,000 annually + bonus depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, relevant experience, and location. We also offer a competitive benefits package, details of which can be found.
