Job summary

Holmes Rental Station Inc in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a Small Engine Technician to provide on-site repair services for our client fleet. You will inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include maintaining organized workspaces, documenting work progress daily, and performing preventative maintenance on client and rental fleet equipment. A minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred; mechanic certification is not required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills in small engines, diesel and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and sitting.
• Good verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Mechanic certification not required, but a minimum of 2 years' experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional onsite service with timely repairs for assigned work orders.
• Inspect equipment to diagnose problems and provide effective solutions.
• Handle all tools safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Assist other technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation of performed work and progress.
• Perform preventative maintenance on client and rental fleet equipment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
